Email us at [email protected]. We aim to reply within two working days.

To help us help you, please tell us:

  • which iPhone you have,
  • which version of iOS it’s running, and
  • what happened, and what you expected to happen.

Please don’t email diary entries or health details unless you choose to. We can almost always sort things out without them.

FAQs

Getting started

What do I need to use Dockleaf?

An iPhone. Dockleaf is iPhone only for now. There’s no Android app and no web app.

How do I get Dockleaf?

Dockleaf is currently a TestFlight beta, and places are limited. You can request an invite, and we’ll email you if a place is available.

Logging

How does Quick Log work?

Say or type what happened in plain words, like “toast and butter for breakfast, cheeks red by 10”. Dockleaf turns it into diary entries. Nothing is saved until you confirm it, so you can check and change anything first.

What happens to my voice recording?

Your voice is turned into text on your phone by iOS. The audio never leaves your phone.

Where your diary is kept

What’s the difference between “On this phone only” and Cloud Sync?

By default your diary stays on your phone, stored encrypted. That’s “On this phone only”.

Cloud Sync is optional. It stores your diary on servers in the EU. You need it if you want to use Dockleaf on more than one device, or to share a diary with someone else.

How do I switch between them?

You can change this in the app’s settings.

Patterns and reports

How do patterns and reports work?

Dockleaf writes daily summaries and a weekly pattern report. They help you notice possible links between things like food, skin and sleep. They use careful words such as “possible association” and “not enough data yet”, because a pattern is never a certainty.

Why do patterns take a few weeks to show?

Patterns only show up over time. A few days of entries usually isn’t enough to say anything useful. The more you log, the more the reports have to work with.

What is the clinician report?

It’s a PDF summary of your diary that you can take to appointments. It gives your GP or doctor, or a specialist, a record to talk through with you.

Sharing a diary

How do I share a diary?

You can invite one other person, for example a partner, to the diaries you choose. Sharing needs Cloud Sync to be on.

You choose what they can do:

  • View: they can look but not change anything.
  • Add & edit: they can add entries and change existing ones.
  • Add, edit & delete: they can add, change and delete entries.

The person you invite doesn’t need a subscription.

How do I stop sharing, or leave a shared diary?

You can remove someone you’ve invited at any time. If someone has shared a diary with you, you can leave it whenever you like.

Can I keep more than one diary?

Yes. Each account can have up to two diaries, for example one for you and one for your child.

Your data

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export everything from inside the app, any time.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all its data from inside the app. You don’t need a subscription to do this, or to export your data.

Subscriptions

Does Dockleaf cost anything?

Dockleaf costs £4.99 a month or £44.99 a year, and one subscription covers up to two diaries. There’s a free trial first, and you don’t need to give any payment details to start it. Subscriptions are handled by Apple. During the beta, testers aren’t charged.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.

What happens if my subscription ends?

The AI features stop. Your diary stays yours, and you can still export it or delete it.

Security

I’ve lost my authenticator app and my recovery codes. What can I do?

Email us at [email protected]. We’ll check that it’s really you, then recover your account by hand.

Can I lock the app with Face ID or a passcode?

Yes. The app lock asks for Face ID or your passcode before Dockleaf opens. You can set it up in the app’s settings.

Health and privacy

Is Dockleaf a medical device?

No. Dockleaf helps you notice possible patterns and keep a record to talk through with your GP or doctor, or a specialist. It doesn’t diagnose anything or give medical advice.

If you’re worried about a reaction or symptoms, contact your doctor or your local health advice service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number straight away.

What happens to my privacy?

Your diary is stored encrypted on your phone by default. Names are never sent to the AI. The AI provider, Anthropic, doesn’t train on your data. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

You can read the full details in our privacy policy.
